Şerefoğlu started his speciality at the Department of General Surgery in Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine in the same year. After June 2004, he continued his specialty at Ankara Atatürk Training and Research Hospital’s Urology Department, where he became a urology specialist in April 2009. Dr. Erefolu, whose studies on erectile dysfunction and premature ejaculation were published in national and international scientific journals during his specialty, also worked on pediatric urology in the Urology Departments of Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine and Radbound University (Netherlands). Hospital where he had been appointed for completing his Obligatory Public Service, he started to work in Andrology field at Tulane University School of Medicine (U.S.A.) in 2010.  Dr. Şerefoğlu, who worked at Urology Departments of Ankara Medicana International Hospital (2012-2013) and Istanbul Bağcılar Training and Research Hospital (2013-2017), was entitled to receive the title of associate professor of urology in 2014. Strategy, Development and Communication Committee of

International Society for Sexual Medicine (ISSM), Young Academic Urologists Studying Group of European Association of Urology (EAU) and Guidance Committee of Male Sexual Dysfunction Guidance Committee. Dr. Şerefoğlu, who also works as the Secretary-General of European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS) Sexual Health Department, was deemed worthy of “Amsterdam Young Scientist” award in 2012.
